Here is a look behind the curtains on the post process shader I made for the game demo Galactico I was involved in creating. The main effects are lifted from https://www.youtube.com/@BenCloward who is just the best shader guru on the globe. Fine tuning the effect took some time so this was a good reminder that setting up user parameters really pays off!
The effect is set up to be editable on the fly, for easier art direction. Setting up logical user parameters for easy feedback implementation will save a lot of time in the long run.
